day of the flies

Today we cycled 60 miles from St Annes to Rampside. We set off at 9:15 to Blackpool and went all the way along the front. At Blackpool dad stopped at Pound land to get sweets and batteries for his torch which is now working. We cycled on to get to the Fleetwood ferry and took it across to Knott end where we had a massive shared breakfast. After breakfast was the torment. We got to a road and along it the flies were every were I was so lucky to have my buff and glasses on, dad wasn't they were flying in all directions but dad got loads in his ears and all over his face for him it was horrible and it went on for 2 to 3 miles before fully ending.

Our next stop was at mobile cafe where the ladies there who were about to close gave me a free hot dog which cheered me up. We were on the outskirts of Lancaster and came in across the mini Millennium bridge there which cut off a bit of the ride. We cycled another 30 miles partly along Lancaster canal and saw no locks we were very suprised. We arrived at Arnside and took the train to Ulveston and cycled looking for b&b's we came to a place and the man running it let us use his wifi to find a place where we are now at. Right now after dinner I'm sitting here as I'm to full to move and that was today.
