Last day EVER !πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ»πŸŽ‚πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰

So like yesterday we woke up early at 7 at left Sandwich at 8ish. Talking of yesterday after our drinks in the cafe dad and I cycled CYCLED down to the beach a couple of miles from Sandwich and I put my hands only in the sea. You could see the mist from the sea as it was so hot. We then got back and did not have lunch but went into our hotel room for a shower at 2 and after that walked around the town. We had dinner with Peter and Ruth at 7 which ended up not as the best night ever shall we say but the main courses were free in the endπŸ˜‰.
Anyway we cycled a solid 20 or so miles so to Whitstable where we had a drink and continued on for another 25 miles. here we encountered to track like paths the scenery changed slot and became more industrial. My legs were aching now because I hadn't had my vitamins to keep me going. And we arrived in Rainham (the Kent one) and I had a full English breakfast when we found a place to eat. We only had 16 miles to go. I was overjoyed! The sun also decided to come out halfway through this leg as till then it had been rather overcast but perfect for cycling. And we arrived in Ebbsfleet international😊. We bought a ticket for our train back to stratford took a selfish(as you can see) and the train arrived. 10 minutes later we were in Stratford and leaving we saw Tessie and Dee who had come to welcome us home aw. We also had an ice cream on the way back and we reached home by 4:00. It's so nice to be home. I really really really hope that this is the last time I had to blog but it has been fun I'll admit it. All very  ticketyboo now. We cycled a total of 500 miles this last part. Thanks for following us and reading my blog of our trip around Great Britain. X.

Day 9 part 3

We woke up at 6:25 πŸ˜ͺ and had a breakfast buffet downstairs. Dad had to pay for it but I was free and we had lots of food before we set off at 7:30. The reason we were up so early was to have most of our cycling done before it was too hot. We had 2 big hills which we cycled up. Or rather I did (daddy struggled up the first one and had to walk on the second because the chain came off. Our only stop was after 20 miles (12 miles to go) in Barham for a drink in the village shop but that was closed so dad bought a coffee in the post office next door and we sat there. Some lovely views and roads that we cycled along and the last 3 miles were along the A257 but only 12 cars passed us on our side of the road(I counted) so that was still ok. Then we arrived in Sandwich and a nice cafe for a muffin it was only 11 when we got here! I asked mum who is at home for an SD card for my phone as I've been taking lots of pictures. Maybe when we get home tomorrow I'll ask for a next computer game as I've been so good πŸ˜‡on this trip.

Day 8 part 3

Mum, dad and I woke up 7:45 for breakfast at 8:15 which had everything in it. We set off after this and I carried mum's bag because I'm a big boy now. Our first place to pass through was lydd and It was quite hot and sunny already. On the way to Romney we cycled a few miles around Dungeness and could see the nuclear power station and on the left of that the lighthouses. Our first stop was 18 miles away at New Romney. We stopped at a cafe called Elsie's and across the road was a shop called Back to School and in it were sweets! So mum and dad gave me money to get a bag of them so I bought jellybeansπŸ˜„. We had a full breakfast and shared it between the three of us and an old US muscle car 6 litre V8 engine  (really shiny) pulled up on the side of the road something not fully right but that brought a small crowd and everyone had a good look at it.

Cycling on we went through Old Romney, Brookland, Fairfield, Snargate and Applegate taking various pictures along the way. Our next stop was Appledore and we had lunch in a pub and although the service was slightly slow it was nice for a rest from the sun. After lunch we cycled through Woodchurch and along national cycle route 18 and 11 and into the station at Ashford. We had to say goodbye to mum😭 but at least we'll be home in two days. I took a picture of her leaving on the train. Then me and dad had a short 5 mile cycle to a Holiday Inn just outside Ashford 3 stars. And dad said tommorow will be even posher!

Day7 part 3

Dad and I had a good night's sleep and woke at 7 for 7:30 continental breakfast leaving at 8:15 sharp. Cycled through seaford and up and down a small hill. To beechy head through birling gap where the national trust wasn't open (being a sunday). We took some pictures here 😴 and cycled on up another hill… Down into Eastbourne and we had a nice down a rather prodigious hill where I reached 66kph, we could definitely have gone faster but we couldnt see round the corners, so had to break. Our fastest speed has been 68.3kph so close but anyhow we arrived in Eastbourne and stopped in the first cafΓ© we saw.
After second breakfast we cycled along slot of the seafront and through Bexhill (😐which had no hill). We saw lots of pirates in Hastings so we didn't stop for lunch (too busy for us) and cycled straight through there was traffic aswell! Then came our biggest hill we had come across in a while, after hastings dad huffed and puffed but we made it. Halfway down on the other side of hill we stopped at the coastguard cafe dad didn't like it but it was nice for a stop. Down the rest of the hill we came and it was a straight cycle all the way to Rye about 6 miles to go and we made a good speed getting there in literally 10 minutes (give or take a few, and that's not hogwash). In the we stopped outside our bnb, called mummy and she was just around the corner😊. It was 1:30 when we arrived so we walked a few metres away and came across this lovely chocolate cafe I had chocolate milkshake and mum and dad had an excellent coffee (dad said it was the best coffee he had drunk on the trip so far so I'm noting it down and will post a picture of the cafe after the blog (it's worth a visit)) Then we had a look in our bnb had a shower and started looking around the town at 3. It's a very traditional town and we went past the town ling and Bryn were married 😊. We are having dinner in The Standard and catching up with Mum. Bye!

The new tyre

The nice part of the glass panel bridge

Dad loved this bridge

Brighton pier

Woke up at 7:45 for breakfast and our clothes had been washed and dried from yesterday so they were very clean. Simeon and Mary prepared us a lovely cooked breakfast we also took a picture with them just before we left at 9. We went 20 miles is before our first stop just over half way. Before all this however we started out extremely happy on the coastal route on the seafront. This was a really nice path for cyclists and walkers and we for 6 miles this was great for us until we took it to far. We continued on the path when it turned to pebbles and soon we couldn't cycle on it. We were in between the sea and a field so we climbed up to the field and had to walk all the way through it to get to a path on the other side 😦. We took one or two more wrong turns but made it to Shoreham and a new glass bridge unfortunately many of the glass panels had been smashed not sure how but it really was a shame. We also cycled past a crash which seemed to do something with a motorcyclist but while we cycled past it lots of cars had to turn around as they couldn't go any further. The last thing we came across in Shoreham was a swinging bridge for boats we had to cross with gates at both ends. Dad got over excited and demanded I take pictures. Then we came to our stop which was in Worthing  just before Brighton and along here was another nice cycle path.

We had decided to stop in the café we saw across the road but went to the public toilets first and I was walking back to our bikes when there was a Bang! Dad's front tyre was down so we took the bikes across the road first and had second breakfast. After that dad took the front wheel off the bike and we found the hole that went through the tyre as well as the inner tube!! Dad then looked up the closest bike shop and we walked to it. Dad was inside a few minutes and came out eventually with a new tyre. He fitted this on relatively easily with a new inner tube as well. However this new tyre he bought was a few sizes bigger because they didn't have our size of tyre but oh well. We continued along the Brighton front and came inland at the end of the pier. We went out to the sea again on another really nice walk called Undercliff walk and this went on for 8miles ish. On the way we stopped for a sandwich which was our lunch and dad decided to buy suncream and we definitely needed that! We reached the end of the walk and it was back to road cycling into newhaven. When we reached our bnb they didn't have us booked! But dad showed them the booking and we then cycled to another bnb run by the same people so that was sorted out luckily. Hoping for an early night we ate dinner at 4 at the pub a ten minute walk away. Tommorow we'll be seeing mum and I can't wait😊.

Breakfast onboard

We woke late at 7 o'clock and left after a nice breakfast on the boat at 9:30. Jean cooked us baked beans toast and bacon for breakfast it was really nice and a great new experience for us. We had to get back across to Portsmouth so we took the ferry back there and started cycling straight away. Google being dastardly tried to make us walk up STAIRS not one but THREE time to cross bridges but we took the road round them instead, that was very frustrating. We cruised all the way to Emsworth where we had second breakfast at a cafe there. The weather until that point was looking and sunny and great but after our sandwich the sky started to look slightly gray. We were cycling for another 15 miles and only three miles from bognor Regis when dad saw a sign for pick your own fruit! So we went in and got two small tubs and filled on with strawberries and one for raspberries. After around 30 mins of picking we thought we would continue to Aldwick. We arrived really quickly with only a few miles to go. We reached Simeon at 1:15 really early and surprised him. We've been paying around a bit since then and have had a shower (since we didn't get the opportunity yesterday). Tommorow will be to Newhaven.
