Last day of coast to coast

Last day! From Corbridge to Newcastle to South shields and back to Newcastle. (We would've had another day to do but we but did the last day as well t

oday)
So today we had a non-stop wet day I was misreble for the first 25 miles to Newcastle that was all we were meant to do for the day then tommorow we were meant to do 20miles. By this point we were covered by mud! The parents persuaded us to do a ten and then said we could take the train back. We took a ferry across the river Tyne and then had lunch  which was very nice but it turned out we couldn't take the train back. Instead we did cycle the other 10 miles back to Newcastle but it wasn't so bad as the wind was behind us and the rain had died down for a while. When we got to our hotel it turned out that they didn't have a proper place for parking bikes even though dad had phone to ask before he booked. In the end as we had already finished and were( and still are)  ahead of schedule me and dad decided to head off to Grantham to see my grandma (dad's mum) which we were supposed to do tommorow.Which means we left Oliver and Mike at the hotel who didn't mind their bikes there. Dad and I said bye (only to Mike as Oliver was having a shower) and went. We took a train to Grantham and are staying at a hotel, tommorow we'll cycle about ten miles to Bottesford to my grandma's and will be done then. This should be my last blog until the summer or something so bye for now.

Tuesday 27 May 2014

Hi today we cycled only twenty five miles but up two big hills we're staying at the golden lion pub tonight. Along the way when we we were looking for a place for lunch we found a golf club for lunch and were told a wild boar was loose! Turned out it was a bull escaped from a cow killing factory thing but the police shot it in the end so we just had lunch at the golf club and continued on our way to the pub. On the way there was a village with a scarecrow trail and lots of people had made fun scarecrows to look at. When we got to the pub we saw an icecream shop and managed to get an ice cream. Later Oliver's dad viciously attacked Oliver's icecream and crushed it so most of the time Oliver had to slurp up dripping ice cream.  That is what happened today.

update of day 2

Hi again this is my second post. Today we cycled along Hadrian's wall, at one turn we went up a really steep hill which was the wrong turn and only when we got to the top did Mike (Oliver's dad) checks to see if we went the wrong way! (Very annoying) Anyways we came back down the hill and took the right turn to get us back on track. At the Hadrian's wall discovery centre Mike lost his wallet and spent half an hour trying to find it after all this (being a man) he found it in his coat pocket which was in his bag (men are kind of typical that way). In the after noon we arrived at our b&b which an excellent place called "Bridge house bed and breakfast I really recommend it its run by a very kind woman called Angie and her husband also there's a pub across the road which does good food but is always pretty much full so you need to be there ahead of the game for it. Hope you're enjoying my post's.

Hi everyone just cycled back to Carlisle. Went to see the castle and staying now at cornways bnb which is a lot nicer than staying at the golf hotel the last place we stayed at. I've fallen off my bike three times which dad says are the rules of having cletes before you can be called a proper cyclist so naturally I ignore him. Carlisle looks like a nice place and now we're going out for dinner. This is my first time properly blogging bye.
