Today we cycled 40 miles from Hayle to Padstow. We started at about 9:00am and cycled a first 5 miles to Hells Mouth Cafe because my lugs were aching (not sure why). After we had been filled we went for a short walk to apparently a suicide point where people had jumped off a cliff. We took a few pictures and set off to cycle to Portreath.
Portreath had our first beach of the day we sat down for snack at a cafe. After finishing our snack we continued on to Padstow. On the way, just past a village dad and I spotted a doctor who telephone box which we took a picture of. A few minutes later we spotted a sign with a funny sticker of a man stuck on it we took a photo of that to.
Finding no more photo opotunities we cycled till we came to Newquay there we had our first pasties! We had quite a lot of food shop choices but as we had been looking for a place to have a pasty eventually, we stopped there. That was our lunch after it we cycled through Newquay till and out the other side till we came to a sign for a scene of the cliffs a cafe and toliet so as I needed the lavratory we stopped and also walked to the cliff edge. There was a very nice view but dad kept on complaining about not liking it on the edge.
We arrived at Padstow a while of cycling later and as dad hadn't found us a room for the night already we spent about an hour searching till we found a place so finally we have a place here and that's it for today.
