Disaster!

Today we cycled 57 miles from Pinhwerry to Isle of Arran. We set off 9:45 after having breakfast and saying bye to Kay and Henry. The weather was nice in the morning and mainly behind us we cycled 18 miles and got to Culzean castle actually pronounced Calaine but it seems like a weird spelling. In side was big and we waited till 11 for a one hour tour. We learned a lot on the tour it has a massive armoury with over 700 pistols! Dad said after the tour that he was a bit disappointed I didn't see anything wrong with it. Well we got out of there and went to their cafe but it wasn't any good so we went to the visitor centre one and had something to eat there.

Next was the disaster. We were going up the hill and I was on my lowest gear but my bike gear changer felt like it could be pushed down so foolishly I did as it never let's me push it if I'm in my lowest gear. Sooo my derailer was raised to be above the chain rings and got caught in the spokes! We stopped and dad shouted at me for a while and told me to stand somewhere else while he bent back the derailer i waited patiently almost happy to have annoyed him although I shouldn't say that.

Oh well, dad forced it back although the stopper has fallen off meaning the chain is loose but still just functional the thing is I can ride we managed to go on dad was still a bit annoyed but able to laugh. We went to two bike shops along the way to ask for stuff but they couldn't do the stuff we needed. We got to our ferry place and waited an hour for it to get Ardrossan before we boarded it. It was one of those big ferries for taking lots of cars and trucks. We put our bikes in a bike shelter there and walked to the main floor for us the eating place. We sat down and got some chicken with vegetables to share then looked around as it was to foggy to see out the windows.

In Arran we only had to cycle up the road to our b&b and here as dad has called mum he got "nagged at " by mum. Dad just thinks mum is missing us he says. That is today and just for David's record I assure you we were not cheating and nor was the ferry cheating. Bye.
