Today dad and I cycled thirty miles from Falmouth to Penzance - we had a late start at 10:45am.  Phil had already left the house for work so we made breakfast and set ourselves off.  The weather was sunny and warm yet there was quite a strong wind meaning you had to keep moving to stay warm.  We cycled 20 miles and came upon a National Trust Estate called Godolphin - there was a nice house, 17th century, soon to be rented by certain people but still open to the public.  We had a quick snoop around - our main attractions were the rifle loops used for shooting unwanted visitors.  Soon after we meandered into their cafe for a cup of tea and a cake.

Continuing on our way to Penzance we came to St Michael's Mount which we approached by ferry from Marazion. Our ferryman was fat and jolly like a ginger santa.  The main house on the mount was massive!  As usual there was a quiz inside like all the other big places but this house was my favourite so far - it had lots of antiquities.

Now it's late and all the adults are telling me to go to bed I'll do that and finish this tomorrow.
